Amy has been a beekeeper since 2011. Her work is heavily influenced by her experience as seen in her honey comb designs and the use of beeswax and native flowers in her mixed media art. Her signature work in jewelry design features original honeycomb that has been electro-formed (thick copper plating) that preserves the original specimen inside.

Mixed media artwork incorporates preserved pieces of plants and flowers and beeswax & resin (encaustic) as the primary medium. Other fun textural elements including fabric, metal, beads, pigments, glass and pieces of honeycomb are also often found in her work.

As you discover a particular work that speaks to you, know that it captures a true “piece of Colorado” from her homestead in the Rocky Mountains.
