8/1 Encaustic Botanical Art — Summer Foraging Workshop August 1st

$125.00

A Summer Morning of Wildflower Foraging & Botanical Art

This special summer workshop begins outdoors with a relaxed morning of botanical foraging. We’ll walk the property and gather flowers, interesting leaves, and natural textures to use in your artwork. You’ll learn how to press flowers using a microwave flower press, and each participant will receive their own press to use during class and take home for future projects.

After foraging and pressing, we’ll move into the garden dome studio for a hands-on encaustic art session. You’ll create botanical collage pieces on wood panels using dried and pressed plant materials, layering paper, texture, and encaustic wax to preserve your summer botanicals in a luminous finish.

No experience is necessary — this workshop is about creative exploration, seasonal beauty, and enjoying a peaceful, inspiring environment.

All materials are provided, including wood panels, collage papers, botanicals, encaustic supplies, and your personal microwave flower press to keep. Light refreshments will be available.

Duration: 4 hours
Time: 9:30am – 1:30pm
Location: Outdoor garden & garden dome studio, Rollinsville, Colorado
Class Size: Limited to 10 students (Minimum 3)

A seasonal summer workshop — offered for a limited time (while wildflowers are in bloom!)
